How It Works

The Dual Executive Reward program is designed to retain key healthcare talent while protecting both the employer and employee.

Initial Agreement

A Bonus Agreement defines the 3% the hospital will pay the employee after a 10-year service requirement.

Protection Structure

The Split Dollar Agreement provides death benefit protection, where the hospital is the owner and pays the premium of a cash value life insurance policy.

Timely Payout

The bonus is paid within 2½ months after the end of the taxable year, making it exempt from deferred compensation rules while retaining key employees.
